“Providing Infectious Disease Management Services and
Excellent Patient Care with Compassion.”

At Axelix Health Consulting, Inc. we offer a wide range of infectious disease management services. Dr. Ogunlesi is a board certified Infectious Disease Specialist and a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America. Megan Staff, NP is a board certified Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Below is a list of infectious disease management services provided but are not limited to the following:

Hospital Inpatient Consultation

Patients (18yrs and above) are seen and treated in the hospital setting. Patients admitted to the hospital and are consulted to be treated by our physician, are seen within 24hrs of the consult. The physician works closely with the primary care and/or admitting team with other specialties in providing excellent patient care with compassion.

Outpatient Clinic

Patients are seen in an outpatient setting; either at the Mentor practice location or the physician pavilion of a hospital. Our outpatient clinics are all computerized with full access to electronic medical records. We have three clinic locations for the convenience of our patients. (Mentor, Geneva and Ashtabula). Labs ordered for the patient, can be done on site. At the end of each visit, a visit summary is provided to the patient. The visit summary lists the current medication the patient is taking, problem list, treatment plan, labs or diagnostic imaging ordered, and the patients next upcoming apt.


IV Antibiotics Management

When necessary, patients are placed on IV antibiotics when oral antibiotics are not sufficient enough for accurate treatment of a patient’s diagnosis. Patient placed on IV antibiotics are monitored closely by the physician and his medical team.  Routine or weekly labs ordered are monitored and adjusted as necessary. Patients can be on IV antibiotics for a short or long period of time depending on the diagnosis and best treatment option available for the patient.

Woundcare Services

Dr. Ogunlesi and Megan Staff, NP are Certified Wound Care Specialist. They currently provide wound care services at three wound care centers; Lake West Wound Care Center, Ashtabula County Medical Center Wound Care Center and University Hospital Geauga Wound Care Center. Patients are treated at the wound care center for; non-healing wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatment etc.


Skilled Nursing Facilities

Dr Ogunlesi provides both infectious disease and wound care services at various skilled nursing facilities.

Travel Consult

The patient consults with the physician at the outpatient clinic regarding pre and post travel needs. The physician recommends vaccines/immunizations if needed for the patient, prescribe medications and any other related treatment. Note: Vaccines or immunizations are not offered in the office. Patients are referred to the local health district for the appropriate vaccines or immunizations.


Antimicrobial Stewardship Services

Dr. Ogunlesi works with different facilities in managing it’s antimicrobial steward program.

Telemedicine

At AHCI, we provide telemedicine (Infectious Disease only) services using a secured HIPAA compliant web portal.
